Executive Principal praises students and teachers’ dedication as four-year upward trend continues despite pandemic.

RAK Academy’s International Baccalaureate students have continued a four-year trend of improving results at the school with a 100% pass rate and above-global-average scores in this year’s results.

We are proud to share that our grade 12 students at RAK Academy (RAKA) achieved excellent results in this year’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The school achieved a 100% pass rate and an average point score of 34.7 out of a maximum of 45, above the world average score of 33.2. We are delighted to announce that 30% of our students achieved 40 points or higher, compared to 18% worldwide. This is the level of attainment required to gain admission to the world's elite universities, such as Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard, and Stanford. The top-scoring student at RAK Academy is Thea Abou Samra, who scored 44 points, putting her in the top 5% of all students worldwide.

Head of School, Edward Bantry White said, "We are extremely proud of the achievements of our students in the IB Diploma 2021. This is our best year ever, with a 100% pass rate and over 30% of the group achieving 40 points or more. It continues the trend of consecutive annual improvement over the last four years. This lays down an ambitious target for future year groups to beat. Full credit goes to our wonderful students and their dedicated teachers for their enthusiasm and hard work. I highly recommend the IB Diploma Programme at RAK Academy as an outstanding preparation for university life and the world beyond. "

Executive Principal Graham Beale said, “This year’s RAK Academy IB Diploma students have achieved an impressive set of results, which they should feel very proud of. This is a testament to our students' hard work and application during a difficult year and the dedication and skills of our talented teachers. These results represent the high aspiration we have for our students at RAK Academy, and I congratulate our students for this remarkable and well-deserved achievement.”
