Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with AURAK
Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) and the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation and support strategic partnership by providing innovative solutions and creating opportunities in joint cooperation to qualify youth cadres to engage in the field of work with distinction and success in line with Ras Al Khaimah Vision 2030. The signing of the memorandum is the culmination of the joint efforts and goals between the two parties to meet the societal needs in light of the rapid growth and development witnessed by the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of the two parties by H.E Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi – General Manager of RAKTA and Prof. Hasan Hamdan Al Alkim - President of the University with the participation of a number of officials from both sides.
General Manager of RAKTA indicated that, through this cooperation, we look forward to setting priorities, exchanging information, studies and data, and working to spread awareness and achieve a positive impact through the implementation of specialized training courses and academic studies that contribute to the development of the transport system in the emirate. This partnership will also allow for participation in the rehabilitation and training of university students to engage in the work environment, hone their skills and achieve integration with the academic programs obtained by the university.
For his part, the President of AURAK confirmed the university’s keenness to strengthen its partnerships with the public and private sectors in order to achieve the vision of Ras Al Khaimah and its responsibilities in providing scientific and academic support to meet the aspirations and requirements of the community and the concerned authorities. Moreover, to prepare a generation of distinguished scientific and practical expertise in various technical and administrative fields, which contributes to enhancing the development process and the quality of life in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Professor also pointed out the importance of this cooperation between the RAKTA and AURAK, which is about facilitating and providing transportation services between the university campus and the city center, as well as other emirates, which will allow ease of transportation for university students and the surrounding local community.
